About Me
My name is Jessica Johnson. This is my 6th year teaching at FLVT and my 15th year of teaching! I have taught a range of ages from kindergarten to post-secondary and in a variety of locations from rural communities to inner cities in both Ontario & Alberta.
I was born in Newfoundland and moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick to complete my post-secondary studies. After this, I moved to Waterloo, Ontario to teach French. Eleven years ago, I had the opportunity to move further west to the windy city! I have had many unique experiences since arriving here. I was able to work in several of the schools in our wonderful division as well as work on a Hutterite Colony where I got to share in their beautiful culture . I live in Lethbridge with my husband, Vishaal and our eight year old son, Jack. Some of my interests arpund the school are First Nations culture, Fine Arts productions, and social justice activism. My favourite things to do besides working with young people, are: travelling, spending time with family and being active in the gym or in the outdoors! This year I will be teaching Grade 7 Math, Social Studies, Health & Religion as well as Grades 7-9 French Cosmetology and Stagecraft. I encourage you to join in the fun at Van Tighem! You will have a blast! If you need to contact me, I can be reached by e-mail at [email protected]., by phone at 403 381 0953. Mrs. Johnson |
